Momentum Marketing Consultants announces the promotion of Shelby Cook to Partner and VP. Her involvement in Momentum has been fundamental to the growth of the business and the leadership of the team.
In 2019, Cook helped Cultivate Food Rescue launch from the ground floor, building the nonprofit’s initial wave of volunteers and landing the organization on The Rachael Ray Show! After leaving Cultivate, she joined Momentum Marketing Consultants in November of that same year.
In October 2020, Shelby was a key player in launching the digitally live-streamed “Heart Beat of the City” concert, helping Heart City Health share the healing power of music with the City of Elkhart, a musical community whose spring and summer music festivals were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Cook also played a key role in helping Saint Mary’s College SPARK Program, specifically the Engaging Women Conference, the signature fundraiser for the Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative (WEI), as it pivoted from an in-person conference to a virtual one.
In 2021, Cook was instrumental in helping another client, a nonprofit, Lacasa Inc. She led the organizing and bringing together of the “right” people who helped us form the Elkhart River Challenge, the first major event on the Elkhart River connecting Goshen and Elkhart in a 17.2-mile kayak race in the last 25 years.
President and principal owner, Shane Frost, says, “Since joining Momentum, Shelby has demonstrated leadership in coordinating client relationships and orchestrating project management among the staff, and it’s that work ethic that has powered her from Project Manager to Director of Operations and, now to Partner. She’s integral to MMC.”
Cook is currently the co-chair for the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce Young Professional’s program, is a member of the American Marketing Association Michiana Chapter, serves on the board of Elkhart Civic Theatre and recently became a Big Sister as part of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
